    Great site.
Thought I might ask your advice.
I am resurecting an early 70's cyclone 13. Any ideas about finding or jury-rigging a halyard?
I only intend to sail in a small lake and something make-shift will certainly do.
I think the original halyard had a ball/lock system at the top and I'm not sure how to replicate it. I imagine I could crimp a lump of lead at the appriate point on the wire. I don't even know if it's an essential componant, if it's tied off at the foot could that be enough?
The other part I need is the little clasp thingy that attaches the halyard to the sail.
I hoping I can solve these problems at the hardware store rather than an expensive and distant chandlery.
    Any ideas??

    Thanks.
